Risk Assessment

We actively support the Health & Safety Executive's position that encourages the development of in-house assessment skills. However, there are occasions when outside expertise should be used. For example, when issues at the workplace make the assessment particularly complex, or when one or more workers have reported problems or injuries when carrying out certain tasks, or when using certain equipment. 

In other situations it might be that a company can cope with re-assessments and assessments for new starters, but resources are not sufficient for the larger, perhaps initial, batch of assessments. In such situations outside support may well mean that staff problems can be identified and addressed more rapidly and appropriately than would otherwise be possible.
 

Routine Display Screen Equipment, Upper Limb and Manual Handling Assessments

JRP Ergonomics can provide support for routine risk assessments of DSE workstations and for manual handling operations; however, we specialise in assessment of the non routine or complex work activity or work station.
